Even though the manor is 800 years old, we have ensured your comfort. All modern facilities have been cleverly incorporated, while retaining the ancient atmosphere. Whether you decide to cook or call in the caterers, the manor has a farmhouse period kitchen. There is a range cooker larder fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, kettle and automatic coffee maker. The large table seats up to 14.

You will find plenty of entertainment at the manor. The cozy, relaxing, lounge in the great hall has a flat screen TV with Netflix, Disney and Now TV as well as a DVD player and over 150 movies to choose from. We have the highest possible speed on our internet and wifi can be accessed throughout the manor.

The manor has full gas central heating, running on two, separate, combi systems, so there is always plenty of hot water. All rooms have at least one thermostatically controlled radiator, to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The manor has two bathrooms, which have claw foot baths as well as showers. The master bedrooms also have en-suite w/c’s. The entry foyer also has a w/c.

The manor also has an L1 smoke alarm system, as the safety of our guests is most important.

The gardens surround the manor, with a high stone wall to the rear, and enclosing the side gardens. Enjoy a barbecue on our medieval barbecue. The large front garden has ample seating, provided on wooden outdoor furniture.

All our towels are of the highest quality, and we only use designer sheets and covers on all our beds. Although someone is always on site during your stay you won’t know we are there unless we are needed. We do very much welcome children. We are also happy to allow pets however we must ask that all dogs staying over 9 months of age are spayed or neutered and kept on leads at all times when outdoors as we have our own dogs living on site. Cats are very welcome to join our guests.

I are happy to offer advice on local restaurants, and can put you in touch with private caterers for that special occasion. If there is anything further that you need, we will do our best to help you make arrangements where possible.

The manor is grade II* listed. English Heritage says that “grade II* properties are particularly important buildings of more than special interest”. We are sure that after your visit you will agree that this describes the manor. Every feature of the property has been painstakingly retained, preserved and restored.
