The tower room as the name suggests is located at the very top of the manor. Originally one of the monks dormitory rooms although having no garderobe (toilet) instead it has a bread oven, which is highly unusual. This is the way in which it was built as there is no blocked up window to be seen. The best explanation I have heard was that this oven was possibly blessed and only the bread to be used at mass would have been baked here. There is however no evidence that this is correct and I would be interested to hear any sources or comparable situations.
