Llanthony Secunda Manor is one of the oldest buildings in Wales. Originally a first floor hall house, you can still see the original arched doorway at the first floor level. Originally accessed by an external staircase, probably built of wood. The flagstones that come from the house to the driveway cover a medieval drain which once ran directly to the river. The cart shed can be seen on the left. We know from the first ordinance survey map that the footprint of the manor has not altered in over 150 years.
